Brandel: "Right now watching Tiger Woods play golf is pretty painful."
/Brandel Chamblee on CNBC's Squawk Box Friday morning continued to speak highly of Tiger's game and Sean Foley's swing work. Thanks to reader Jim for the video link.
Butch is quite happy with the stable of players he has. You ask him, I guarantee you he'll say, no, he doesn't want the headache. When i say butch, i mean any type of teacher who can go to a more simple method. Of the hundred top teachers, there's, I don't know, 90 of them who are a lot less complicated than Sean Foley. I'm not saying sean foley doesn't build good golf swings. Right now watching tiger woods play golf is pretty painful. It looks like what he's doing is complicated.
**Doug Ferguson notes that Nick Faldo, called out for his apparent mind reading of Tiger's thinking, defended himself on Thursday's telecast.
"I hated it when analysts and commentators were saying, `He's thinking this. He's thinking that,'" Faldo said. "But this analyst here, I've walked the walk. I've been there and the bit I'm trying to describe is self-belief. I've had self-belief when I was playing my best and I also lost self-belief, and that's obviously when you get to the end of your career. I can generally recognize when a player is on the range, striping it, which Tiger's been doing basically all season.
