Foley: Sometimes the high school cafeteria just carries on into the rest of life. It's gotten a little silly."

Bob Harig talks to Sean Foley about last week's verbal feud with Hank Haney and the instructor has reassessed some of his comments.

Asked about the unusual banter between high-profile swing coaches Tuesday, Foley said: "Sometimes the high school cafeteria just carries on into the rest of life. It's gotten a little silly."

Then Foley added: "But I've read some of the things I've said in the past and I said after, 'You know what? I wouldn't want my son to read that I said that.' I realize that things unconsciously come out. It shows me I have a lot to learn about being grateful, about being compassionate, being empathetic and just focusing on myself."

Haney was unavailable for comment Tuesday but in an e-mail last week pointed out what has been a frequent defense: Woods' record while Haney was his instructor.
