Shark: “I personally think the state of the game is the best it's ever been since the 80s."
/From Greg Norman's Morning Drive interview with Cara Robinson (about the 1:15 mark in):
“I personally think the state of the game is the best it's ever been since the 80s. In my era when we had 10 to 12 guys starting with Seve and Faldo and Olazabal and Woosnam and Lyle and Price and Couples and I can keep going down the list. Today reminds me what the 80s and 90s were all about. And no matter where you went in the world you always played against three or four top 12, top 15 players in the world. So everywhere you went you knew you had to put in your best performance to keep your ranking points number one but also because you knew you had to play well because there was some many in the field that were really, really good.”
Thoughts? Think Tiger, Phil, Ernie, Vijay and friends would agree?
