Euros Dig In: "I've never been more quiet in my life after seeing her first putt."

Suzann Pettersen, who did not comment after her fourball win with Charley Hull, has since talked to Sky Sports about Alison Lee picking up her ball without a concession. Pettersen's story is perfectly believable and admirable in her insistence, especially since she's moved into the gamesmanship HOF already!

Sky's report:

When asked if she would do the same thing again in the future, Pettersen, who was playing in her eighth Solheim Cup, said: "Totally, we are all trying to win.

"It was very clear from Charley and me that we wanted to see the putt (holed).

"I've never been more quiet in my life after seeing her first putt. We didn't say a word and unfortunately she picked up."

While you can question the Ugly Americanism of Pettersen's gamesmanship, Lee violated the rule.

But as the video showed, it was Hull, who was closest to the situation, and who appeared to moving on to the next tee. However, she's claiming to Sky that she was talking toward Pettersen to decide whether the short putt should be conceded.

"I was walking over to Suzann to discuss whether or not to give the putt and then I turned around and Alison picked up," said Hull.

"A few people are saying I was walking off the green. If they watch again, I was talking to Suzann."

After watching again and then after screen capturing the moment (below), I can't see where Hull appears to be doing anything but heading to the 18th tee. If there was any question about the putt coming back, a not-rude golfer would be either standing still or moving rapidly to not be in Lee's through-line. Nor was Hull's explanation buffered by her sobbing after the match!
