Sergio On Tiger Pairing: Nothing To See Here, Move Along
/Today's 1:15 p.m. ET pairing of old sparing partners Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods prompted Sergio to try to diffuse any situations, sensationalization or other joy at the prospect of these two getting to spend four hours together.
The preemptive strike from Sergio:
It was gonna happen at some point sooner or later! Paired with @TigerWoods tomorrow but don't you worry guys, I'm sure we'll both be fine 😉

Some of their finest moments can be enjoyed here, here and here.
Tiger and Sergio, who don't like each other, are paired today. If Sergio gets a hug, I might be the only one who doesn't get one this week.

**Brian Wacker on the previous head-to-head matchups, including the bad times too.
It's the first time they have been paired since the third round of the 2013 BMW Championship, where Woods padded his record against Garcia with a 66 to the Spaniard's 69 at Conway Farms.
They also played together in the third round of THE PLAYERS Championship that year. Woods was a shot better. A day later, he went on to win the tournament, while Garcia, playing in the group behind Woods and tied for the lead rinsed his tee shot at the par-3 17th.
In all, Woods and Garcia have played together 21 previous times on the PGA TOUR. Woods has a 14-3-4 advantage.
