Keiser, Coore & Crenshaw Hope To Add Dornoch Course

With the recent plug-pulling of his Bandon Links project, Mike Keiser has turned his future plans to Dornoch, as Ru Macdonald reported last week.

Macdonald, who was touring the Coul Links site adjacent to Royal Dornoch, reports on his day there that included running into Keiser and his partner on the project, Todd Warnock where he learned about the site, the goals of the project and the architects (Coore and Crenshaw).

This stood out to me as one of the more interesting revelations:

Perhaps most revealing from the chance meeting yesterday were plans around further development of the site or should I say lack of. Warnock & Keiser have no intention of building anything but a world class golf course and basic starter shack on site. No real estate, no lodgings, no 100 bedroom hotel. The initial plans would would see golfers shuttled by bus between Royal Dornoch and the Coul Links with reservations made via Royal Dornoch Golf Club.
