Tape-Delayed Presidents Cup Ratings Way Down
/Not surprisingly, Paulsen at Sports Media Watch reports a big drop in NBC's re-broadcast of the Presidents Cup Saturday and Sunday.
He writes:
Tape delayed coverage of golf’s Presidents Cup drew a 0.9 overnight rating on NBC both Saturday and Sunday, down 18% from the comparable telecasts in 2011 — the last time the event was held overseas (1.1 on both days). The 2013 event took place in the United States, earning overnights of 2.2 on Saturday and 2.5 on Sunday.
Much more positive and maybe even a little astounding is the solid Friday night number Golf Channel drew for the live broadcast of Saturday play in Korea.
SportsTVRatings.com lists the .1, 569,000 average over a lengthy 6 pm to 5:24 am Saturday window.
**Sports TV Ratings has the Saturday night telecast listed as 8 pm ET to 2:30 am drawing a very respectable average of 720,000 viewers over a long telecast window.
