Rory Loves Marshawn's Bad Attitude Toward The Media
/Rory McIlroy's evolution of a public figure appears to have taken the inevitable ominous turn when he took to Twitter to use Marshawn Lynch's irritable post-game interview to suggest he, too, is paid to play and not talk to media (even after a win!).
Coverage of Rory's upcoming trial won't be pretty and the lad has already indicated he's leery of the press that really has gone pretty easy on him. The Irish Independent's Ger Keville on Rory's Tweet and the very mixed replies from his fans.
And last night, after the Seahawks beat the Panthers 31-17, an irritated Lynch answered every question posed by reporters with the words “I’m thankful”.
McIlroy took to Twitter to back Lynch when he said: “Love this! Paid to play not answer questions “@SportsCenter: Marshawn Lynch after every question in his postgame interview, "I'm thankful."
It stoked plenty of debate with some backing McIlroy’s stance and some arguing against him.
But the Irishman continued: “don't know ML but seems like he marches to the beat of his own drum, isn't defined by what other people think. I respect that in a person.”
It appears Rory has already conveniently forgotten the stories he could have been asked to flesh out and wasn't. And it wasn't the golf media who chose to file a lawsuit that will have its embarrassing moments.
But anything Rory can do to take inspiration from Marshawn's fashion sense will certainly liven up the game! A gold puffy vest to play off the bling and gold hat logo, accented by a black sky mask, with the entire package tied together by an uber-masculine Louis Vuitton backpack. And of course, a wonderful disposition.
