Video: Pinehurst No. 2's Fourteenth And Fifteenth Holes
/We're on the home stretch now and Pinehurst picks up steam, first with the par-4 14th (473/419 yards), a key drive on the back nine because of less width to work with and another pinch point that should leave the women with plenty of divots to content with. Another small, elevated and undulating green.
The flyover:
The par-3 15th will measure 202 from the tips for the men 156 yards for the women but at least includes a little more pinnable green surface thanks to recent work by Coore and Crenshaw. This is another one that seems to invite a run-up shot but I'm not sure that's an option, and with the crowned effect sending many shots long, perhaps the aerial approach is the only way to play the 15th.
