/If we can't have Miguel Angel Jimenez as a Ryder Cup captain, the next best thing will be a 50-year-old on the team. With Sunday's playoff win in the Open de España, he's sure to improve his current 9th place standing on the list that will be updated Monday. Jimenez is likely to move into the world top 25 with the win.

• Aged 50 years and 133 days breaks the previous record for being the oldest winner of the Open de España of 45 years and 221 days by Arnold Palmer in 1975.
