Last Week In Golf Channel Ratings: Flat, But Not Fox Sports 1!

There's nothing too spectacular to report from this week's Golf Channel ratings with the Sochi Olympics drawing eyeballs elsewhere, though around a million people did tune in to the completion of Sunday play after CBS signed off and Morning Drive attracts a nice-sized audience when it starts later. Astoundingly, my two appearances on Tuesday and Wednesday did not boost the numbers.

Also noteworthy was Saturday's Champions Tour coverage, which averaged nearly 300,000 viewers and may have benefitted from delays at Pebble Beach.

For the week, Son Of The Bronx reports Golf Channel averaging 125,00 prime time viewers and 107,000 for the week, essentially the same as the same week a year ago when the numbers were 148,000/118,000.

Also worth a look for the giggle factor are the latest Fox Sports 1 numbers. The new home to all USGA events in 2015 sported the same numbers as the channel did a year ago when it was Speed. Considering it was the week after Super Bowl coverage (and promotion) on the sister network, the highest rated show was Monster Energy Supercross and the channel averaged 141,000 in prime time, 57,000 all day (compared to 137,000/99,000 for Speed).
