Apparently a former VP is suing over $80,000 in money not reimbursed
Shaw's claims of broken assurances inside the yet-unproven company also are surfacing when the state Department of Economic and Community Development's taxpayer-funded aid to private businesses is coming under increasing scrutiny and criticism. The scrutiny follows a couple of prominent failures in economic-development efforts by the Malloy administration.
The network is not backing down, however:
On Friday, Back9 CEO James Bosworth said in a statement: "Back9Network welcomes any public official to visit our company headquarters in downtown Hartford to meet our current staff of over 30 employees, our management team, and to see the progress the company has made in growing its operations. Of note, we have had 9 employees relocate to Connecticut from out of state.''
