Phil Thinking About Cutting Schedule 25%

As noted over the weekend, Tiger's fatigue comes as the over-saturated men's golf schedule only gets more hectic the next three years. Throw in the success Adam Scott and Steve Stricker have had with reduced play, the emphasis on major preparation extending into the week prior to the events and the the overall importance of majors to elite players, and Phil Mickelson's comments following the Tour Championship should not come as a surprise.

Rex Hoggard reports.

“I think that I'm going to have to factor that into some of my scheduling and maybe cut out 25 percent of my events in an effort to play at a high level when I do play because I know that I'm not able to do it 25 weeks a year. Maybe I can do it 18 or 20, though.”
