Hamilton Hall Nearly Finished; Hotelier Warns Rich People That It Gets Really, Really Cold In St. Andrews

Tom Mackin with an update on Herb Kohler's complete refurbishment of the iconic Hamilton Hall overlooking the Old Course's Home hole.

This was kind of funny from Eric Brown, GM of the Best Western Scores Jack Willoughby, owner of The Dunvegan hotel near the rebranded Hamilton Grand.

“I've seen a lot of people come and go in this town,’ he says. “The winters here, people just don't understand. Those guys (Kohler) know a hell of a lot more than me when it comes to selling up market real estate. But the winters here are not the best. A lot of people don't take that into account. I'm not saying that's going to happen in this case, but it might have happened to the last guy who lost money on trying to build time-shares there. But I'm sure weather won't deter their decision-making process for people with that kind of money.”
