Elk On Today's Players: ''Some of them are not very interesting, they've got the IQ of a mouse.''

Thanks to reader Michael from the Aussie Golfer Blog for this Peter Stone story on Steve Elkington returning to Australia for some golf with his son. This bit on Elkington deciding to play the Champions Tour was fun.

''I'm not missing it after 25 years on tour but we'll get after it next year [on the Champions Tour]. I told everyone about eight years ago if they ever saw me on the Champions Tour to just shoot me,'' he said.

Now, he's looking forward to reuniting with some of his old mates.

They're the ones he can connect with, not the younger players about whom, without naming names, he says: ''Some of them are not very interesting, they've got the IQ of a mouse.''
