Final Round Earns 138% Increase in Ratings in Metered Markets
CBS Sports’ final-round coverage of the MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY NATIONWIDE INSURANCE on Sunday, June 3 (2:30-6:00 PM, ET), which saw Tiger Woods win the Memorial a record fifth time and tie Jack Nicklaus with 73 PGA TOUR wins, delivered the highest rating for the final round in eight years (4.2/9; 2004) with an average overnight household rating/share of 3.8/9, up 138% from last year’s 1.6/4 in the metered markets.
Sunday’s final-round rating peaked at a 5.7/12 (5:30-6:00 PM, ET).
CBS Sports' third-round coverage of the MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT on Saturday, June 2 (3:00-6:00 PM, ET) earned an average overnight household rating/share of 2.5/7, up 67% from last year's 1.5/4 in the metered markets.
**Golf Channel had a good week too, and was rewarded for bonus coverage after the rain delay. Kudos to them and the CBS team for sticking around.
