Steiny Increases Chances Of Signing Woods To An Endorsement Deal...By Inking Niece Cheyenne

Since he can't seem to land much for Tiger these days, maybe agent Mark Steinberg will have better luck with his new client, the infinitely more affable, engaging, social media-savvy and fresh-faced Woods: Cheyenne, Tiger's 21-year-old niece who just finished a great run at Wake Forest.

Brian Wacker reports:

Woods starred at Wake Forest, where she set a school record for lowest career scoring average and was a two-time All-American and three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference team member. She also captured the 2011 ACC title.

The daughter of Earl Dennison Woods Jr., the half-brother of Tiger Woods, Cheyenne Woods has won more than 30 amateur tournaments. In 2009, she received a sponsor’s exemption into the Wegmans LPGA, where she missed the cut by four strokes.

Steinberg, who has represented Tiger Woods since 1998 and left IMG for Excel in May 2011, said of Woods’ niece, “We are excited about the opportunity to represent Cheyenne. She had an outstanding career at Wake Forest and has the chance to be a major star on the women’s golf scene.”
