Kessler Begins Final Week; Still No Reply From Sirius/XM
/Looks like the CEO (mel.karmazin@siriusxm.com) and the man who reports to him about content matters (scott.greenstein@siriusxm.com) will be getting emails. All requests for comment from Sirius/XM's media department and the folks who did not renew Peter Kessler's "Making The Turn" have not warranted a response despite multiple inquiries.
This press release went out today on the end of Kessler's show, which runs at 11 a.m. ET, 8 a.m. PT:
Final Week of "Making the Turn" with Peter Kessler Radio Program Ends Seven-Year Run on Sirius XM’s PGA Tour Network
Orlando, FL (March 19, 2012) – Only five live shows remain for Peter Kessler’s golf radio show, “Making the Turn,” which has aired on Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s PGA Tour Network for the past seven years.
“It has been a great run and a very long one as these things go,” said Kessler, who is known as the “Voice of Golf.” “I’ve done 3,000 one-hour shows between radio and television and I’m hungry for more because it’s fun. I’m looking at some opportunities and hope to be on air again soon.”
The final five shows, starting today, will be filled with some of Peter’s favorite guests from over the years including Gary Player, Ken Venturi, Hank Haney, Jim McLean, Geoff Russell, Jaime Diaz, Steve Elling, Randall Mell, Brian Hewitt, and other golf notables.
