Tiger's Event Lands Presenting Sponsor, Fine Field
/It was sounding touch-and-go after Chevron did not renew its deal, but the Tiger Woods Foundation's "World Challenge" lands a presenting sponsor and thirteen 2012 Ryder Cuppers. The purse, however has been slightly reduced with the winner receiving "only" $1 million.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (October 17, 2012) — The Tiger Woods Foundation welcomes Northwestern Mutual as the new presenting sponsor of the 14th annual World Challenge, held Nov. 28 - Dec. 2 at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The elite 18-player field will include 13 members from this year’s Ryder Cup Team, winner of the Masters at Augusta, the U.S. Open Champion and the 2012 FedEx Cup Champion.
Joining host and defending champion Tiger Woods in pursuit of the $1 million top prize, are Keegan Bradley, Jason Dufner, Jim Furyk, Dustin Johnson, Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Webb Simpson, Brandt Snedeker, Steve Stricker and Bubba Watson. Also participating are European Ryder Cup standouts Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell, along with Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Bo Van Pelt and Nick Watney.
