Lawyer: "Irresponsible" And "Grossly Unfair" To Speculate Tiger Might Have Gotten PED-Aided Care From Doctor Guilty of PED-Aided Care
/This wire story (based in part on a New York Daily News report) really is funny.
The assistant for the Canadian doctor who treated Tiger Woods said the golfer never received performance-enhancing drugs while his patient, her attorney told the New York Daily News.
In an email, Rod Personius, an attorney for Mary Anne Catalano, Dr. Anthony Galea's former assistant, said, "I tell you categorically that Tiger did not receive either banned or performance-enhancing drugs when treating with Dr. Galea," according to the report.
This is from a guy representing a client who helped Dr. Galea smuggle illegal stuff across the border to treat professional athletes.
"The suggestion in the media through speculation that (Woods) did (receive PEDs from Galea), while perhaps understandable given the vagueness of the currently available information, is both irresponsible and grossly unfair," Personius said, according to the Daily News.
Personius, it should be noted, was not in Tiger's house when Dr. Galea traveled there to personally administer therapy without a license to do so in Florida. And representing a client alleging this:
According to documents obtained by ESPN, Catalano told authorities that while traveling with him in the United States, she witnessed Galea inject a cocktail mixture containing Nutropin (growth hormone) into the injured knee of "at least seven athletes."
