I so enjoyed Mike Walker's look at the fastest and slowest PGA Tour players based on actual calculations.
The process wasn't entirely scientific, but good enough considering the PGA Tour could release its ShotLink data on speed of play but never will for fear of tainting someone's brand.
Walker and other Golf Magazine editors timed every shot hit by 45 players over nine holes in the second round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Hit the link for the details, but the fastest and slowest:
