"Both are lightweights with long reaches but Allenby can look rather mean when he stares so perhaps he’d go in as the slight favourite.”
/An online betting outfit is challenging Robert Allenby and Geoff Ogilvy to hash out their differences in the ring, all in the name of charity.
“Ogilvy obviously wasn’t happy after Allenby’s comments so we are giving him the chance to not only put up his dukes but also the added motivation of $100,000 to his favourite charity should he win,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
“On paper it looks to be a pretty even fight.

As for Allenby's continued insistence that he wasn't entirely to blame for his dismal Presidents Cup performance and his subsequent outburst Sunday night following the Australian PGA, Sportal's Luke Buttigieg says Ogilvy will come out of this just fine. Allenby, not so much.
Universally popular among the fans, Ogilvy's handling of the incident in which he remained largely cool and composed is only likely to result in people liking him even more because he stood up to Allenby.
But conversely Allenby may find himself even more despised, if it's possible, with his demeanour and regular petulance on the course turning fans off and no doubt being why he has gone through countless number of caddies over the years.
He has also had his share of run-ins with Aussie fans over the years, including several years ago at the party hole at the Australian Open.
Now with both entered for next month's JBWere Masters at Victoria Golf Club in their home city, it will be intriguing to observe just how the two are treated by the local fans if they both tee it up.
Allenby did have a defender in Steve Elling.
Allenby, who is rarely afraid to offer an opinion just ask Anthony Kim – and in turn gets a bad rap, particularly because he can be brutally tough on caddies. He even had a caddie walk off the course on him once at the BMW Championship two years ago.
But Allenby has his soft side, too. He broke down crying two years ago at an Aussie event as his terminally ill mother watched him struggling to win the title for her. He sponsors a fishing tournament for leukemia victims in the Jupiter, Fla., area. Years ago, as teenage Aussie Jarrod Lyle was ill in the hospital with leukemia, Allenby dropped by for a visit. Lyle recovered and plays on the PGA Tour, too.
As for the caddie issue, Allenby threw a lifeline to current bagman Robert Floyd earlier this year after the latter had been arrested on a DUI charge, not his first, and gave him a job. Floyd’s dad is Hall of Famer Ray Floyd.
There might not be a better guy than Allenby to hang out with on weekends, for those who enjoy an adult beverage. When Allenby turned 40 earlier this year, the whole family went to Key West, where they partied so hard, a couple of family members needed, shall we say, medical attention.
