Phil Gets Into Golf Membership Program Biz...
/Gene Yasuda reports that Phil Mickelson has invested in the "M Club," co-owned by his agent Steve Loy with a $5000 initiation and $605 monthly dues, providing access to four courses I haven't heard of. But that's not the point.
I wonder if Mickelson's endorsement of such a membership program concept could be a turning point in giving a boost to what many think is will be the future of the club membership world? Phil is bullish on the idea of paying to be part of more than one club:
In a statement, Mickelson said: “We’re offering affordable accessibility to a number of courses, private and public. We’re convinced this is a winning play to increase options for private club members and give public golfers a private club experience.”
