"A US Tour official spotted James Nitties picking up his courtesy car in board shorts - shortly after came a $US2500 fine."

Mopping up a few links I had open but not read. From Peter Stone in the Sydney Morning Herald:

The US PGA Tour has the toughest disciplinary procedures. For instance, had Geoff Ogilvy turned up in shorts and sandals for an official pre-tournament interview in the US, as he did in the relaxed atmosphere for the Australian PGA at Coolum earlier in the week, he might have been $US10,000 lighter in the pocket.

Earlier in the year, a US Tour official spotted James Nitties picking up his courtesy car in board shorts - shortly after came a $US2500 fine. He successfully appealed against the fine as his luggage had been delayed by the airline on which he travelled to the tournament.
