Rangefinders Announcement?

Looking at USGA.org's news page, I can't seem to find anything that says the USGA and R&A made the joint announcement at the Walker Cup about rangefinder.  Jim Achenbach at Golfweek broke the story a couple of weeks ago. Anyone know of an announcement?

To be honest, I just thought it'd be a nice time to run a photo of the former, never-to-be USGA "city presense."  It may become this web site's official USGA logo.
