Suzann Should Sleep In More Often
/Stina Sternberg on Suzann Pettersen taking the U.S. Women's Open lead despite missing breakfast and a normal warm-up Friday at Blackwolf Run.
"I thought it was awfully light in the room when I woke up, at 6:40, an hour late," she said after finishing her second round of the U.S. Women's Open at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wis. "I looked at the alarm clock, and I think instead of putting it for 5:45, I'd put it for 6:45." Pettersen skipped the shower, cut breakfast short and was on the practice green 15 minutes after jumping out of bed. "For me breakfast is kind of my most important meal, but I didn't really have time."
Pettersen makes her ESPN Bodies issue soon.
Meanwhile Michelle Wie lurks one back, reports Dan Manoyan. She's tied with Cristie Kerr. So yes, to read your minds, you can't do much better for a leaderboard. World No. 1 Yani Tseng is +2, seven back.
