GeoffShackelford.com was created in March 2003 to cover various subjects covered in the author's various books, particularly, The Future of Golf.  The site is updated at least once a day or as events occur. It is meant to provide merely one point of view, with the opportunity to read the opinions of others. Comments are encouraged!

Commentary and stories posted are for those who enjoy following the sport's many aspects, with an emphasis on architecture, history, commercialization, humor and the recent stampede over traditional golfing values.

With a move to a new host in August 2005, archives of old posts can be found in the box to the left titled "Archives 10/04 to 07/05."

GeoffShackelford.com was named one of the Internet's 10 best golf web sites in 2004 by SportsIllustrated.com's Gary Van Sickle.

And SI's Alan Shipnuck calls Geoff Shackelford the "Herbert Warren Wind of golf bloggers." 

In its first year with Squarespace (July 2006 to July 2006), the site registered 1.2 million hits.
